“ Hawkers Market review 5! The fried udon noodles and lychee drink both seemed super interesting so I decided to try them out. I love udon noodles, especially the real thick ones so this was a pretty easy smash hit. I liked the spinach leaves on top, They were refreshing, I wonder how the texture might have been different if they had cooked some of them into the stir fry ahead of time. The mushrooms were good too, but the green onion roots really pushed it over the top for me. The can of lychee was a much needed refreshment as I jumped from one restaurant to the next, and helped balance out the saltiness of the noodles. Even though I was four restaurants deep, I still finished the whole thing in about 45 seconds of hungry shovelling. Another great Hawkers Market offering. ”

“ Discovered this place when i came to try the lady wong bakery next door. The fried rice was on par for the top Cantonese restaurants fried rice and they charge 18 dollars and up. Everyone on here reviews saying theres no flavor are obviously used to soy sauce corner store chinese fried rice garbage. I got the salmon and fried rice and it was like I was at a top Chinese cantonese restaurant but next day it was even better, the leftovers werent too dry after being heated again. I like how the teriyaki sauce was separated as im not a fan of teriyaki sauce personally so had option of dipping or not. The salmon was perfectly cooked with a crispy outside. 5 star place just maybe not for western folks. ”

“ Came to this spot on my 2nd visit to the Urban Hawker and they have a decent selection of rice dishes there. I stuck with the classic staple of Singapore fried rice and I was a bit dismayed by the portion of it at first but trust me, its very filling so it packs more than what you see at first glance. I took a bite out of it and it felt like an out of world experience. I dont think Ive EVER had fried rice that made me feel the myriad of emotions that Ive felt, it was a bonafide dopamine hit. I wish I could come here almost every day but the place is a bit out of my way but trust, I will take any opportunity to sample such a dish like this again. I cant even fathom how something so simple would be this delightful. ”
